Facing the difficulty of regular game time in the first team this season, Real Madrid worked hard this summer to find young Japanese talent Takefusa Kubo a temporary exit from the club.
Initially, those at the Santiago Bernabeu seemed more willing to loan the Japan international to a Real Sociedad side in which one of their other young talents, Martin Odegaard, had shone previously. But Kubo had other ideas.
The player wanted to return to Mallorca, where he already spent time on loan in the 2019/20 season. After the interest of the team from the Balearic Islands matched that of the player, the deal didn't take long to be completed.
Real Madrid announced the agreement with Mallorca this Wednesday 11th August, in which it explains Kubo's temporary move for the 2021/22 campaign. With it, the 20-year-old will undergo his fourth loan since he joined Madrid in 2019, his most successful of which came in his first time in the Balearic Islands.
In his first time at the club, Kubo managed a total of four goals and four assists in 2,402 minutes of play. In the following season, the Japenese featured for Villarreal and Getafe but without the starring role he had hoped for. It is expected that Mallorca will be able to give him that opportunity, as they will rely on his quality for their return to Spain's first division.
