Vardy, 31, penned the new four-year deal on Thursday and will become the highest-paid player in Leicester City history, according to 'Sky Sports'.
The England international had two years left on his previous contract with the club, and this renewal from Vardy comes as more good news to Claude Puel's side, who also managed to keep hold of defender Harry Maguire in the face of rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United.
Speaking to the club's official website, the enigmatic Vardy remarked: “Everybody knows how I feel about playing for this Football Club and it’s a great feeling to know that I can look forward to another four years as a Leicester City player.
“The journey that me, the team and the Club have been on in the past few years has been incredible. Going into the new season, it’s an exciting time for Leicester City and I’m delighted to be part of it.”
Leicester kick off their Premier League campaign on Friday at Old Trafford against last season's runners-up Manchester United, and Vardy will target more goals for the 'Foxes'.
