OFFICIAL: Imanol Alguacil to step down as Real Sociedad coach at season's end

Imanol Alguacil's time in charge of Real Sociedad will come to an end on June 30. The coach has decided not to renew his contract after six and a half seasons at the helm of the Spanish side.
"Imanol Alguacil has informed Real Sociedad of his decision not to continue managing the team next season. The Orio-born coach, after six and a half seasons at the helm of the club, will step down from leading the side once the current season concludes," Real Sociedad said in their statement.
However, the club expressed an optimistic message for the remainder of the season. "Before that moment arrives, there is still much to fight for. The sixth European spot and finishing this wonderful story deserve one final push from everyone," they added.
Imanol took over as coach of Real Sociedad at the end of March 2018. His first match came on April 1, a goalless draw against Eibar. Since then, he has managed them in 334 matches, winning 157, losing 93, and drawing 84.
