New arrivals continue to arrive at Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2022/23 season. The most recent addition to The Blues' squad is centre midfielder, Carney Chukwuemeka.
Chelsea already confirmed on Wednesday that the 18 year old would be travelling to London on Thursday to sign for the club. Now, this has been done.
The young footballer arrives from Aston Villa and has signed a six year deal. He is without doubt a long term reinforcement at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea announced the signing on their social media and in an official statement wrote: "The midfield all-rounder is one of the brightest talents in the country".
At Aston Villa last season, Chukwuemeka starred in the Premier League. He appeared 14 times in the first team and started on three of said occasions. He did not manage a goal but, he did make one assist.
The young talent is very plaeased to be at his new club: "I couldn’t get Chelsea out of my head the last few days so I’m just happy and relieved that it’s all done. I’m so excited and just can’t wait to get on the pitch, meet all the players and try to win games and trophies with Chelsea". he commented.
Todd Boehly, Chelsea owner, has spoken about his club's most recent signing: "Carney is one of the most exciting young players in Europe so we are really looking forward to seeing him in action at Stamford Bridge".
Everyone in and around the club has the same feeling about their newest signing. That he is going to help the team significantly, not just next season, but also in the years that follow.
