OFFICIAL: Bayer Leverkusen loan Sardar Azmoun to Roma

AS Roma announced the signing of Sardar Azmoun on Saturday. The Iranian striker is on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, with an option to buy at the end of the season.

"Azmoun is a player we have been following for a long time and whose technical qualities are undeniable. We're sure that our dressing room will help him integrate quickly and that Sardar will be able to shine here in Italy," said Tiago Pinto, the club's sporting director.

Last season, the 28-year-old scored four goals and provided four assists in 33 appearances for the German club.

The 28-year-old striker is also one of the stars of the Iranian national team, scoring 45 goals and providing eight assists in 71 official appearances.
