The 40-year-old departed the 'Old Lady' at the end of last season, brnging down the curtain on a trophy-laden 17-year spell with the club.
It had been suggested in some quarters that Buffon would now retire, but having been a key part of the Juve side that won seven straight Scudetti, the goalkeeping legend clearly feels he still has something left to give.
Buffon made 656 appearances for Juventus, but now joins a PSG side with one aim: to win the champions League, the one trophy that has so far evaded Buffon during his remarkable career.
The Juve legend won nine Serie A titles and four Coppa Italias with the club, but failed to lift the Champions League, losing in the final on no fewer than three occasions.
Buffon made his final appearance for Juve in a 2-1 victory over Verona back in May and is expected to be presented to the media by PSG on Monday.
The Italian is believed to have signed a one-year deal with an option for a second in the French capital, a contract which could keep him playing beyond his 42nd birthday.
"I know what dreams PSG and its fans have in their hearts," he said.
"I am going to bring all my energy, all my experience and all of my thirst to win to help my new club achieve all the great objectives it has set out for the future.
"For the first time in my career, I am leaving my country and only a project this ambitious could have encouraged me to make such a decision."
