Spanish football is back and who better than Gaizka Mendieta, a top former La Liga player, to talk about it's return.
The ex-player admitted that it would not be the same playing behind closed doors in the interview with the 'Daily Mail'. Even though Gareth Bale has been booed in the past, Mendieta believes the Welshman would still rather have supporters at the ground.
"I think if you ask him and the players they would rather play with fans, even if they are booing him. Real Madrid are going to play "at the training ground which is going to make it even more odd because there are no stands, no fans, nothing so it’s going to be a big contrast compared to the full Bernabeu," the former Barca and Valencia man said.
Mendieta also explained that La Liga has become much more even in recent years and said that you should not just look at the title race, but also the relegation battle. "I think relegation is very exciting. Relegation has been unbelievably exciting in the last few years," he concluded.
