'Nothing makes me sure that Coutinho will stay'

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits that "nothing" makes him sure Philippe Coutinho will still be at the club in February, but he insists he is not thinking about it yet.

Barcelona are ready to make another move for their number one transfer target, Philippe Coutinho, despite Liverpool rejecting a £113m offer for the player in the summer, and he stated his desire to make a move to the Nou Camp.

The Brazilian playmaker missed the first six games of the season as the Catalan giants' pursuit of him stepped up, but he has since returned to form in recent weeks, scoring once and assisting twice in Liverpool's 5-1 win over Brighton on Saturday.

But when Klopp was asked what made him sure that Coutinho would still be a Liverpool player in February, he said:  "Nothing, but I don't think about it. Not one second. I'm not unsure, I'm not sure, I don't think about it."

Speaking ahead of his side's final Champions League group game at home to Spartak Moscow, the German coach added: "I have a team to prepare for tomorrow night and no one knows what will happen in a nice and calm January transfer window and all the teams around the world - it's nice from the outside view."

A draw will be enough to secure qualification to the knockout stages for Liverpool, after they let a 3-0 lead slip away to Sevilla in their last game, and a win against their Russian opponents on Wednesday will see them finish top of Group E.
