Adidas and Real Madrid presented their kit for the 2021-22 season, designed to reflect the spirit and sense of unity at the club with their fans with the slogan 'This is grandeza (greatness)' and includes references to the city and the iconic stadium. What attracted attention is that Sergio Ramos did not appear in the promotional video.
Inspired on the city of Madrid the love for the club in all corners of the world, the shirt's design includes a subtle graphic inspired on Cibeles' fountain (where Madrid's fans celebrate their trophies). It represents Madrid's vibrant culture. Marcelo, Benzema and Mendy also put on the new shirt.
The shirts are made with 'primegreen', a series of high performance recycled materials. Another curious element is that the design of the shirt is exactly the same as the one that had been leaked.
Back to Sergio Ramos, the latest news on his future is that 'ESPN' indicated that Pep Guardiola thought about getting him for Man City. As he is out of the Spain squad for the Euros and possibly out of Real Madrid, Ramos will have to explore other options if he wants to continue at the elite level.
