'No problems' for Lamine Yamal’s new contract, says Barca sporting director

Lamine Yamal has become the star of a Barcelona team that has returned to enchant the football world as it did under Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique. Although the 17-year-old failed to lead his team to the Champions League final, this season he has already lifted the Spanish Super Cup, the Copa del Rey and is on the verge of being crowned La Liga champion.
Lamine Yamal's meteoric rise has put him on the radar of Europe's top clubs and the ‘Cules’ want to secure his long-term future by offering him a renewal that includes an increase in his salary.
In fact, Barca's sporting director Deco assured in an interview with ‘ESPN’ that the club will have no problem in reaching an agreement with his gem to sign a new contract.
"The players have to be happy where they are. I don't see a better place for them. The kid grew up here, he's from here. This generation has a chance to make history. Putting myself in his situation, I would want to be here, to be part of it. I don't see any problems with Lamine, especially since he is under contract. The club, within what it needs to create for him, will end up renewing it," he said.
"I don't think that this team, because of its dynamics and joy, has anyone willing to leave. We have already renewed most of them, now we have to take care of those who are here. Last year I said we could not lose anyone. I think it's the same now. If we can improve, it is always possible, but the key is to leave what we have consolidated for the coming years," added the Portuguese.
