No handshakes at Anfield due to coronavirus

The image of the game between Liverpool and Bournemouth was not during the match, but before it. The traditional pre-match handshake just saw Liverpool's players walk past the away players. The players did not shake hands to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The Premier League is one of the competitions which is taking the coronavirus situation very seriously. A sign of that was before the Liverpool v Bournemouth clash at Anfield.

There was no traditional pre-match handshake. Jurgen Klopp's men just walked in front of their opponents and the players ended up laughing.

A measure which is one of many. Signs have been out up around the stadium after the recent increase of coronavirus cases in the UK. 160 people there have been tested positive for it and two people have died.

Therefore, the government met with sporting authorities to look for solutions. One of them could affect the Premier League. They are planning to stop spectators over the age of 70 from attending matches as they are most at risk.
