No De Jong for Setien's first Barca match

Quique Setien's debut as Barca manager takes place this Sunday and despite the fact we do not know what formation he will use, what is for certain is that Frenkie de Jong will not be part of it. A suspension will prevent one of Barcelona's key players from taking part.

Barca's busy week will end this Sunday with the clash against Granada at the Camp Nou.

The Andalusian outfit will be Setien's first opponents and that means there is lots of interest in the fixture.

There are lots of doubts over what formation he will use and which players he will select, especially who will replace the injured Luis Suarez

The only things that are certain are that Messi and Ter Stegen, two of Barca's most important players, will start and Frenkie de Jong will miss out.

The Dutch midfielder, who had been present in all matches up to now, serves his one game ban this Sunday after getting a red card against Espanyol.

An absence which we already knew about, but which will prevent the young midfielder from playing in Setien's first game at Barca.

De Jong, because of his style, is set to become a fundamental player for the coach, who is from the Cruyff way of thinking.

Unfortunately, De Jong will not be able to play until the Copa del Rey match at Ibiza in midweek.

If Setien decides to rest him for that fixture, Barca fans will have to wait until the game at the Mestalla to see him in action.
