Ahmed Musa scored twice to down the Icelandic team and his goals were celebrated as far away as Argentina, such were the repercussions they had on the rest of the group.
"What I like in my young team is humility, solidarity and fighting spirit," Rohr said after the game.
"I thought before this World Cup we were here to learn.
"I think this team will be ready in 2022 and this World Cup is coming early, but we have a good chance to win against Argentina."
Musa himself was under no illusions about the task ahead of his side, with a final game to come against Argentina that is essentially winner takes all.
"I think scoring against Argentina isn't that difficult for me," Musa said.
"We know the importance of the game. It's do or die, we have to win."
