Nico Jackson facing exit as Chelsea future hangs in the balance

Nicolas Jackson's departure from Chelsea appears increasingly likely. The striker, who was the 'Blues' top scorer last season only behind Cole Palmer, is on the verge of a transfer, a situation made clear by Enzo Maresca.

The former Villarreal man has not even been included in the matchday squad for the London club's encounter against Crystal Palace this Sunday due to suspension. He will not even make the bench.

Following the acquisitions of Liam Delap, and subsequently Joao Pedro – the latter during the Club World Cup – coupled with their performances in the United States, Jackson has been relegated to third choice in the centre-forward position.
