"Obviously, Neymar will still be in Paris next season. His father said so: he is happy here. His plan is to stay here. He's here to play and score goals," Henrique stated, speaking to the French news outlet.
The director of sport went on to praise the Brazilian in no uncertain terms. "He's the best player in the world when he's on the pitch. He adds so much to the team, but he also helps us off the pitch, through his character and his relationships with the other players, as well as the fans..." he claimed.
That being said, he also clarified that Neymar is no more important than the rest of the team. "PSG is bigger than the players, and bigger than the directors. Neymar is a player just like the rest," he concluded.
PSG are going to have to live without their record signing for the rest of the season, however. The forward received surgery on his broken foot in Brazil on Saturday, and looks unlikely to feature again for the Ligue 1 leaders again this season. The Brazilian will have to watch from the sidelines when his side face Real Madrid in their Champions League second leg, as he attempts to recover in time for the World Cup.
