According to Spanish media "RAC 1", Barcelona's president Josep Maria Bartomeu has been hard at work all week trying to find a way to bring Neymar back to Barcelona. Andre Cury, who was key in bringing Neymar to the Parc des Princes, has once again taken the centre stage in the negotiations.
The source reports that a feeling of optimism has taken over within the Barcelona board, where they consider that Real Madrid's irruption may have been neutralized and have decided to launch their offensive tp make the deal for Neymar throughout the week to come.
PSG sports director Leonardo publicly recognised that Neymar's exit from the French team is not just a dream anymore by stating that "negotiations are more advanced than before. We first need to define what the future will look like for all of us."
Following that statement, it was announced that Neymar would not be making an appearance in PSG's Ligue 1 opener: "He's coming brak from an injury. He has been training by himself and has not completed any training sessions with the team. He is not ready for Sunday's match".
Meanwhile, Barcelona is juggling an array of options to bring Neymar to the Catalan city once again. According to RAC 1, the latest offer includes 100 million euros, Nelson Semedo, and a player of their choosing, with Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele as the main options for the switch.
However, Barcelona are planning to strike a deal through the loan plus obligatory purchase option, a trick that was already pulled by PSG themselves when they brought Neymar and Mbappe in the same season in 2017.
