Neymar responds to criticism of his fitness with photo
One of the moments of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers to date was a photo of Neymar playing for Brazil in which he appears to be overweight. Social media criticised him and accused him of not being physically fit.
If there is one thing the PSG attacker is associated with, it is his athletic and healthy physique that makes him stand out on the pitch. His dribbling and trickery would be impossible if he had a few extra kilos. However, the player himself responded to these comments on his Instagram account.
The Brazilian winger uploaded a snapshot of himself in a shirtless Canarinha training session showing off his abs. The 29-year-old was also singled out by several Brazilian World Cup players, such as José Ferreira 'Neto'.
"He's a phenomenon, of that I have no doubt, but Neymar, how come you're fat," he said. Walter Casagrande lashed out harshly: "Neymar is clearly out of shape, he's slow and has missed almost every play he tried to make. Tite should have taken Neymar out of the game.
