Neymar is "biggest flop in history of football"

Neymar's end to 2022 and start to 2023 has not been his best. The Brazilian suffered a World Cup defeat to Croatia and the the number 10 returned to Paris to go at it for PSG, but his bad run of form continues.
The ex-Barcelona man did not play in the first game against Lens, which ended in defeat for the Parisians. He played alongside Messi against Angers, who they beat, but only just. On Sunday, the striker played a part in the defeat to Rennes.
After all that, the French press have not held back in going for a player who was already in the spotlight. "He tried to make the difference on his own too many times. Therefore he ended up losing the ball in dangerous areas and he almost never caused a threat going forward. It's a worrying performance just one month before the Bayern game", 'L'Equipe' published.
"Have we realised yet that, in terms of signings and salary, he's the biggest flop in the history of football?", journlist Daniel Riolo claimed, speaking about the €222 million fee they payed in 2017. ""I can't think of a bigger flop who cost as much, it's terrible", he insisted.
It is true that the Brazilian started the season off really well and he has already got 15 goals and 13 assists in 22 games to his name this campaign, but his return to the pitch is not as impactful as he would have hoped.
