Neymar halts PSG new contract and offers himself to Barca again

Neymar returning to Barca will not end until he returns to the club. The PSG player still wants to return to Spain. 

The Brazilian's contract at the French club expires in June 2022. Despite the fact the footballer publicly admitted that he wanted to stay at the Parc des Princes, he has reportedly decided to stall talks over a new contract, Catalan paper 'Ara' reports. 

Neymar is not so certain that his friend Leo Messi will leave the Camp Nou at the end of the season. That is when his Barca contract ends. It looks like he will wait a bit longer. 

This is around the time speculation over transfers returns. When Pini Zahavi organised Neymar's move to PSG in 2017, he met with Joan Laporta at the beginning of March. 

Even though David Alaba was Laporta's main target, the PSG forward was also on the tabel. The current Barca president never ruled out signing Neymar during his electoral campaign. 

It seems like Messi's future will be key. The Argentine, after the arrival of Laporta and the team's improvement, could end up signing a new deal at Barca.
