Neymar forced off in tears after fresh injury setback

In a year when he hoped to lead Santos back to the top, injuries have once again taken centre stage over his football. After featuring in less than a full match on his Brasileirao debut against Fluminense, Neymar suffered another setback in the home clash with Atletico Mineiro.
The forward asked to be substituted after just 32 minutes and left the pitch in tears. Unable to walk, he had to be taken off on a stretcher.
The 33-year-old Brazil international went down with pain in the back of his left thigh in the fourth round of the league, played at Vila Belmiro. At the time of his injury, Santos were leading 2-0 thanks to goals from Ze Ivaldo and Barreal.
Since returning to Brazil earlier this year, the former Barcelona and PSG forward has featured in ten matches, scoring three goals.
