Rio de Janeiro's environmental authorities on Saturday imposed a new fine on Brazilian national team and Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar for violating the ban imposed this week on one of his mansions, where the footballer is building an artificial lake.
Inspectors revisited the Brazilian international's mansion and identified movements in the prohibited zone, implying non-compliance with the ban and further environmental violations.
The striker violated the sanction on Friday - one day after it was imposed - by holding a party to inaugurate the lake, where the player even enjoyed a swim even though the work is still unfinished.
The images were circulated on social media along with others in which some of the guests posed next to the ban signs.
The amount of the fines is not yet known, but according to the authorities it will be known in the next few days, after the case is analysed, according to official sources.
Work on Neymar's mansion was suspended last Thursday when environmental authorities found a series of irregularities.
Some of the points raised by the prosecutors were diversion of the course of streams, taking water from a river without proper authorisation, prohibited excavations, irregular movement of rocks and earth, and use of sand from the beach.
