Neymar emotional with 100th Brazil cap
The match will more than just a friendly for Neymar, who showed his support for Barcelona when the saga over his transfer finished.
For Neymar, playing for his country has always been a reason for joy, pride and satisfaction. He has also done it to get away from the PSG issues. Against Senegal, he will reach 100 games for the 'Canarinha".
"Not even in my best dreams did I think that this could happen. Thanks to God for allowing me to reach this great milestone and this Wednesday will be a historic match which I'll remember for all my life. It's an absolute honour to represent my country 100 times," he wrote together with a video which included a shirt with the number 100 on it.
Neymar has scored 61 goals in 99 games for Brazil, making him the third highest scorer in the history of his national team. He is one behind Ronaldo but needs 16 to catch Pele. He won an Olympic gold medal in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 but has experienced many disappointments, particularly at the World Cup. In 2014, in Brazil, a back injury in the quarter-finals against Colombia prevented him from being on the field during the 7-1 semi-final debacle against Germany.
