The PSG coach Thomas Tuchel, spoke again about the Neymar situation, insisting again on the firm intentions the Brazilian took during the summer. Although he did not want to stay at the club, he did explain that it will be easy to carry on counting on him because of his professionalism.

His press conference prior to the clash with Real Madrid included a lot of topics. He spoke about the danger of Benzema, he revealed that he has a plan to try and stop Real Madrid and explained that everything has been sorted with Neymar. However, shortly afterwards, while attending to 'DAZN', he spoke more extensively about Neymar

The first thing he did was to state again what we already knew: "He didn't want to stay at PSG. He did everything possible to leave the team. That has not helped him get on the fans' side obviously. I understand what's happening, but I can also understand the crowd being angry, even permanently."

Nevertheless, he said that there is no problem between him and Neymar. Tuchel is aware of the fact that he has one of the best footballers in the world in his squad and considers that there is no reason to stop playing him.

"We still have a good coach-player relationship. We've never had a problem or disagreement. He trains like a great professional and therefore, it's very easy to let him play. I think all of this helped him and ended up making him feel free mentally even if he didn't get what he wanted in the end," Tuchel explained.

Lastly, he assured that Neymar's job is to think exclusively about PSG: "Returning to work is no longer looking to the past. Now he's training 100% and he's hungry. He is a very competitive guy and he always wants to win. He must accept the reality and put it all behind him."
