Mouthwatering information continues to emerge from documents obtained by the now notorious 'Football Leaks' group, who have unleashed chaos within football in recent weeks.
Now it has been revealed that, supposedly the French giants spent more than the publicised 222 million euros marked in Neymar's release clause at Barcelona.
The deal incurred some extra costs due to the intervention of several agents. Specifically, the father of the player, his official representative, and the intermediary of the selling club, Pini Zahavi. Both took an enormous 10.7 million each for brokering the deal.
On the other hand, Paris Saint Germain spent an additional 8.7 million for the Santos native in order to also obtain his training rights, 5% of the global amount, as required by FIFA in this type of transfer.
In total, 30.1 million to make the biggest transfer in football history even more exorbitant.
In addition, the papers also documented the salary which PSG offered Neymar in order to convince him to leave Barcelona: 30 million net, divided into 25.5 million fixed and 4.5 million in bonuses. That is, speaking in gross terms, a whopping 55 million per season.
Neymar is not the first PSG player targeted by 'Football Leaks', as this revelation follows the publication of details concerning Frenchman Kylian Mbappé's moved to the Parc des Princes.
