Xavi is triumphing in Qatari football. After winning another trophy with Al-Sadd (the Emir Cup in Qatar), he was once again linked with a move to Barcelona. The Catalans have not been in good form and the man from Terrassa in Catalonia has always been a more than valid option for Barca.
In fact, in an interview with '20 Minutos', the former player said that his dream is to coach Barcelona. However, they have yet to come close to reaching a deal. Another club interested in appointing Xavi are Newcastle.
According to 'The Transfer Window Podcast', the Magpies board are thinking about Xavi as a future manager of the club from next summer. After a Saudi Arabian investment fund purchased the club, they are looking to fight for the Premier League title and Champions League.
After sacking Steve Bruce, some of the names linked with the post were Roberto Martinez, Steven Gerrard and Unai Emery. Koeman is still in charge at Barca although everything suggests he will not be there next term.
