Newcastle:
The 'Magpies' have had a really tough start to the season, with matches against Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester City before this one. Their tactic against those teams has been to sit back and absorb attacking pressure, and it seems likely the same will be repeated in this one.
One confirmed injury is that of Florian Lejeuene who is a long-term absentee, while the match fitness of Salomon Rondon and DeAndre Yedlin is doubtful after their travels on international duty.
Arsenal:
Unai Emery is still yet to fully implement his style on to the team, and will see this as a big test of his team's resilience. Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerik Aubameyang have found their shooting boots in recent games, and will hope to continue that here.
The 'Gunners' will be without long-term injured players such as Kolasinac, Jenkinson, Koscielny and Maitland-Niles, but there are no recent injury concerns to add to that.
Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez on his opposite number:
"I have a good relationship with Emery. We have talked before when he was at Valencia. He is a good manager.
"I hope he will need another week for it all to go right! Arsenal are a good team. They will be at the top of the table for sure."
Arsenal manager Unai Emery on the test Newcastle pose them:
"Our aim away at Newcastle on Saturday now is to keep improving things and continue to create our idea, build up our spirit on the pitch, individually and collectively.
"Saturday is another step, it will be difficult but I want to continue [to show] our personality and impose this on the opposition."
