COVID-19 has brought all competitions to a halt, but business continues. An important change is taking place at Newcastle.
The 'Daily Mail' says that Mike Ashley, the Newcastle owner, is about to stop being it. The Magpies would be taken over by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF).
And that change would see Newcastle become the richest club in the country, bearing in mind the wealth of their owners.
Because, according to figures in the British paper, the group have assets worth 320 billion pounds. That is even more than what Man City's Sheikh Mansour who has 23.3 billion pounds.
That said, just like with Man City, it will take a bit of time for Newcastle to buy star players and climb up the table. Newcastle are hoping they will become the next Man City.
