Newcastle target Sesko in statement move to replace wantaway Isak

The Magpies are prepared to present a concrete proposal to the Slovenian forward as part of an ambitious recruitment drive.
Benjamin Sesko has a gentleman's agreement in place with Leipzig that could see his price tag reduced for a select group of clubs. For those considered "special" by the player, the fee could drop to a range of €70-80 million, with an additional €5-10 million in performance-related add-ons.
Newcastle are fully aware of the financial package required and view him as the ideal replacement for Isak, who is reportedly open to a move away from St James’ Park.
The club are working on several deals in parallel, including interest in Brentford's Yoane Wissa, but the Leipzig striker remains their priority.
Having already made their interest known, Newcastle are now ready to present their long-term sporting project to Sesko in a bid to convince him to lead the line for Eddie Howe's side. The player is admired not only for his potential but also for his fit within the team's evolving attacking style.
