Newcastle lure Spanish gem Antonio Cordero away from Madrid and Barcelona

Antonio Cordero made history in his hometown at just 17 years old. The talented striker secured Malaga's promotion from the Spanish third division to the second tier last season with a last-gasp goal against Nastic Tarragona in the play-offs. 

Since then, the 18-year-old gem has become one of the Andalusian club's top talents, which has led to interest from big clubs. In fact, the Malaga sensation has already found a new destination. 

Newcastle have completed a deal to sign the young striker, thus overtaking Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in the race for his transfer, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. 

The 18-year-old Cordero has made 33 official appearances this season in the Spanish second division, scoring 5 goals and providing 5 assists.
