Barcelona could find an ally in Newcastle United. 'The Telegraph' states that the English side are willing to get hold of Philippe Coutinho's services.
Unlike what happened with Bayern Munich, in Newcastle's case, Coutinho would leave permanently. That would mean Barca would not have to look for another club for him in the future.
The report says Rafa Benitez would be his main backer. If the Spanish coach came back to Newcastle, the Brazilian would be the first option.
Coutinho will not stay on at Bayern Munich. The date to activate the buyout clause has now past, as Bayern said, so the Brazilian will return to the Catalan capital at the end of the season.
That where other teams enter the fray. Clubs like Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea have commented on him, but Newcastle look the most likely due to the club's takeover.
But Coutinho is not Newcastle's only option. 'The Telegraph' reports that both John Stones and Edinson Cavani also form part of their transfer plans.
At the moment, Coutinho is trying to recover in order to becoome an important player for Bayern. The Brazilian was operated on his ankle and has begun to train, even though he is doing so on his own.
