There are still lots of things to decide ahead of the start of the 2020-21 season at Barcelona and one of them, probably the biggest thing to decide, is where Philippe Coutinho's future lies.
After arriving as a star signing in January 2018, it does not seem like he will have a place at Barca next season and there is already a club who are leading the way to sign him.
According to 'France Football', Newcastle is the option both the player and Barca are most interested in. The Brazilian would become the leader of the club's new project and the Magpies could also make the best offer to Barcelona.
That said, the takeover of the Premier League side by Mohamed Bin Salman has stalled. Until that is completed, they cannot speak about buying star players.
The player's agent, Kia Joorabchian, reiterated recently on 'TalkSport' Coutinho's interest in returning to the Premier League.
"I’ve always said he loved to play in the Premier League, he enjoyed his time at Liverpool very much," he explained as well as asking for calm and that there will be developments when the season finishes.
