'Sky Sports' claims that Newcastle's loanee goalkeeper Martin Dubravka will become the club's first permanent signing of the summer when the transfer window reopens.

The Slovakian joined the 'Magpies' on loan form Sparta Prague in January, quickly leapfrogging Karl Darlow and Rob Elliot in the pecking order to become the undisputed No1.

Dubravka has made 12 appearances for Newcastle since his Deadline Day arrival, impressing on the way to conceding just 11 goals and keeping four clean sheets.

The aforementioned source claims that Dubravka's loan deal included the option to make it permanent for a fee of £4m, a clause which the club is expected to invoke when the transfer window reopens for business.
