Newcastle closing loan deal for West Brom's Salomon Rondon
Benitez's side are looking to improve in attack, after it was confirmed that Aleksander Mitrovic would leave the club.
Mitrovic has agreed to join Fulham after he spent last season there on loan.
According to the 'Daily Mail' Newcastle and West Brom have agreed a deal worth up to £20million.
Rondon's addition would be a welcome addition to the otherwise limited striking choices.
Yoshinori Muto would be Rondon's competition for the position.
The club recently completed the deal for Muto from Mainz, which was worth £10m, but is subject to a work permit being obtained.
The Cottagers signed Conor Townsend from Scunthorpe United at the weekend, and have expressed an interest in the popular Man City striker Lukas Nmecha.
