There have appeared new cases in the Balkans after the match between Partizan and Red Star in the Serbian Cup which took place on 10th June.
There were 16,000 fans at the match and 7 of them have tested positive, as well as 4 Red Star players: Marko Gobeljic, Veljko Simic, Njegos Petrovic, and Marko Konatar.
The ex-player Vujadin Savicun that plays for APOEL in Cyrpus also got infected. "I want to tell the fans that I received a positive test for the coronavirus today. I'm great and only had a slight fever four days ago that disappeared in the morning".
Jevto Eraković, director of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, said the number of people infected is expected to be even higher in the coming days.
"We believe that the higher number of positives is a serious enough warning for the population to act in a preventive manner", the government spokesman Jelko Kacin affirmed.
