  • 105'
HT in ET: NETHERLANDS 1-0 SWEDEN! Groenen's excellent strike means the Dutch lead at half time, and it's a fair reflection of how the first 15 minutes of extra-time have gone here. Will the Swedes be able to respond in the second half?

Penalty shout for Sweden as van Dongen slides in on Asllani, but it seems the Dutch defender just about timed her challenge right.

  • 75'
Again van de Sanden gets on the ball and charges up the pitch on the counter, before being crowded out and winning the corner. She reacts by waving to the crowd to get them pumped up. From the resulting corner, Roord tries an ambitious backheel volley that ends up nowhere near the goal.

  • 63'
The Dutch hit the bar now!! A corner is floated to the back post, where Miedema headers back across goal. Lindahl reaches up and pulls off an excellent fingertip save, just as van Veenendaal did a few minutes earlier, to flick the ball onto the bar.

  • 45'
HT: NETHERLANDS 0-0 SWEDEN! A fairly dull first half comes to an end, with Sweden having the better of the chances but neither team looking like potential world champions. See you in 15 for what we hope will be a better second half!
  • 45'
    Three minutes of added time.
  • 43'
A more direct approach from the Netherlands sees Miedema run in behind after a long ball, but Lindahl is off her line quickly to beat her to it and clear with her feet.
  • 41'
The Dutch are trying to keep the ball and stretch the pitch out, but still lack any real penetration in this opening half.

  • 22'
Another dangerous attack from Sweden sees Rubensson spread the ball out to Jakobsson, whose low cross is turned behind for what looked like a corner...although a goal kick has just been given. The Swedes are in the ascendancy at the moment...

  • 17'
Asilani is fouled by van Dongen in the right corner of the pitch. Sweden loading women forward for this set-piece...
  • 16'

That's all from us tonight! See you again at the weekend for more Women's World Cup action as the tournament reaches its climax.

Sweden, on the other hand, come up just short, and will battle England for third place on Saturday.

The national anthems are out the way, and we're almost ready to go in Lyon.
  • PRVW
Sweden are playing their fourth World Cup semi-final - three years after reaching an Olympic final.
  • PRVW
For the Netherlands, this is their best-ever showing at a Women's World Cup, having never reached the semi-finals before. This may only be the second time that they have played at the World Cup, but they are the reigning European champions after winning the title in front of their home crowd in 2017.
  • PRVW
Both of these sides made their way through this tournament with minimal fanfare and attention, but only one of them will get the chance to shock the USA in Sunday's final. The Netherlands beat Italy 2-0 in their quarter-final clash, whilst Sweden came from behind to upset Germany 2-1 in the last eight.
  • PRVW
Sweden, on the other hand, elect to make two changes to the starting XI that stunned Germany last time out. Fridolina Rolfo is suspended and is replaced by Lisa Hurtig, whilst Elin Rubensson makes way for Nathalie Bjorn in midfield.
  • PRVW
So, the big news for the Netherlands is that star attacker Liese Martens is fit enough to start after suffering from a toe issue during this past week. The Dutch do make one change to the side that beat Italy in the quarter-finals, with winger Shanice van de Sanden paying the price for her disappointing performances at this tournament and being replaced by Lineth Beerensteyn.
  • PRVW
Sweden: Lindahl; Glas, Fischer, Sembrant, Eriksson; Rubensson, Asllani, Seger; Jakobsson, Blackstenius, Hurtig
