Napoli's quarantine comes to an end

Fabian Ruiz and the rest of his colleagues from Napoli were given the go-ahead on Tuesday by the local health authority (ASL) to end the confinement imposed to prevent the risk of coronavirus infection and to return to their private homes.

"The ASL, after the new provisions and after the latest test with a negative result, has decreed the end of the isolation of the team group in the Training Center and so we return home," reported Napoli in an official statement published on Twitter.

The Naples team and coaching staff have been in confinement since Saturday 3rd October, as ordered by the local ASL after coronavirus positives of Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas and a member of the club's staff.

On that day, coach Gennaro Gattuso's team was blocked by the ASL shortly before boarding the plane to Turin for the league match against Juventus the following day, which was finally not played.

The Serie A has not yet decided whether to inflict an administrative 3-0 defeat on Napoli for allegedly not having violated the rules of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) health protocol.

The players and coaching staff of Napoli are allowed to return to their private homes after several of them had to give up their concentration with their respective teams.
