According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli have emerged as contenders to take Romelu Lukaku away from Old Trafford in the summer, with the Manchester side rumoured to want to let him leave in the summer.
United value Lukaku at 80 million pounds according to the Daily Mail, 5 million more than they bought him for from Everton just two summers ago.
Inter remain the favourites however, with Antonio Conte a big admirer of Lukaku, having previously wanted to sign him to Chelsea during his succesful spell at Stamford Bridge.
The Italian is looking to make Lukaku his big name signing of his first transfer window back in Italy, as he looks to get Inter back to the top of both the domestic and European game. Lukaku's valuation is higher than Inter would have liked but with the Milan based side able to offer Ivan Perisic in the deal, it is thought they may be able to somewhat reduce the amount they pay for the Belgian forward.
Lukaku is rumoured to prefer a move to the San Siro, whilst Napoli manager, Carlo Ancelotti, is only willing to pay £62m, which is well below the asking price of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
The Italian media have also been speculating that Conté will be able to sign Roma forward, Edin Dzeko as well as the promising Italian midfielder, Nico Barella from Cagliari.
Should Lukaku leave United this summer, it is thought that Sebastien Haller of Eintracht Frankfurt will be their priority, although there are rumoured to be several players on their radar.
