As 'Marca' said on Friday, Rodrygo made clear that he is dreaming about putting on the Real Madrid shirt and celebrate goals at the Santiago Bernabeu with Real Madrid.
"When I was at the Bernabeu I imagined the stadium chanting my name 'Rodrygo, Rodrygo and celebrating my goals," admitted the striker on loan at Santos.
"I am going to play for Real Madrid and I also support them. I know a bit about their history. I know they always want to win," commented a Rodrygo who could go on the USA pre-season tour with 'Los Blancos'.
Furthermore, the Brazilian spoke about his new teammates starting with Karim Benzema and the captain Sergio Ramos: "What he does and how Karim plays. His way of playing football is unbelievable. Sergio Ramos is also an ideal here for us. His leadership catches your eye.
"Marcelo is an idol for us here in Brazil. He has a very great story. He has won loads of titles for Real Madrid. Casemiro has not been there as long as Marcelo. He is one of the best midfielders in the world. His strong suit is stealing the ball and giving it to a teammate. He is a genius," he said about his compatriots.
About the difference with the football that is played in Europe, he explained: "The best players are in Europe and therefore there is a lot of respect, but not fear. I know that in Europe they play at a much faster tempo, with hardly any time to recover, to have a break. When I beat opponents for pace they insult me and tell me that thy are going to kick me, but I don't care. I am quick."
In addition, he spoke about Neymar: "Neymar is a very great player, another who I have as an idol. They always talk about him and his future. He is a Brazilian player which I admire, but he plays at PSG and me Real Madrid so I can't speak much about him."
Finally, Rodrygo revealed who his rolemodel is on the field of play: "Cristiano Ronaldo because of all his dedication, his commitment, his way of understanding football and sport. He has always looked to better himself he has reached the top. I honestly believe that I would like to follow in his footsteps."
