"My dream is to be successful here"

Joao Palhinha achieved yet another victory with Portugal to secure his ticket to the Nations League final after defeating Germany. The midfielder spoke to the media after the match and wanted to clear up rumours about his possible departure from Bayern Munich this summer. 

"I still have three years left on my contract here at Bayern. I have to talk to the coach and sporting director about whether I'll get my chance here. If not, then we'll see. My dream is to be successful here," he said. 

In addition, the 29-year-old midfielder said he spoke to Bayern teammates Gnabry and Pavlovic to console them after they were eliminated from the tournament. 

"I’ve spoken to Gnabry and Pavlovic. The others were a bit more upset. They congratulated me and I told them that we’d be together next week. We have the Club World Cup to play for," he concluded.
