Valencia coach Javi Gracia confirmed that the club's president, Anil Murthy, confirmed to him in a meeting last Monday that the club is working on incorporating some players in the last days of the winter market.
"The contact that I have had with the president is that three days ago he came to see a little of the training and a meeting with him the day before yesterday in which he communicated to me that the club was working, nothing different to what had been spoken, to incorporate some player who reinforces the team", he explained in a press conference.
However, Gracia said that he personally is "in the situation" that they were "last week" and has "no news of any progress with any player".
"My opinion is that they have this interest in strengthening the team and I am still focused on my work," said Gracia, who clarified that he did not say it "with any connotation of scepticism".
The coach dodged the question of whether he had not been interested in what kind of player he could get. "I have already told you that I have moved my position and it is already clear. The club within the possibilities that it has will try to do what it believes convenient and little more I can do", concluded.
