One of Barcelona's priorities this season seems to be a substitute for Luis Suarez. But not immediately. The Uruguayan is still prepared for big challenges, but end up leaving a hole in the front line. Therefore, Barcelona have kept an eye on various young players with a bright future who are already used to playing at the top level. Inside that profile, there are some players who would accept being on the nech sometimes and then later on get starts. Marcus Rashford would be in this list.
The Manchester United man, who will be Barcelona's opponent in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, is 21 years-old. Despite his youth, he is one of the most valuable assets for the 'Red Devils' and will play against Barcelona. One of the problems, according to the cited media outlet, would be his high price tag. Rashford has made a name for himself in Europe although as his contract expires in June 2020, waiting could be key so that he finally ends up at the Camp Nou.
The English international's versatility is also seen as positive by Barcelona. He can play as the main striker, on the wings (especially on the left one) and even just behind the main man, but even so he can boast out his speed and power. This season, Rashford, who has had a mixture of starts and games coming off the bench, has played 38 games in total for Manchester United. In them, he has scored 12 goals and given seven assists.
