Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford, were the four victims of yet another Mourinho meltdown this week, as the Portuguese delivered a further scathing verdict of his players.
The young quartet were pictured arriving to training ahead of the visit of Roy Hodgson's Crystal Palace to Old Trafford this weekend.
Of course, it is not the first time that the United manager has questioned the mentality and attitude of his players; he admitted in the opening weeks of the season that 'some care more than others'.
Now he has singled out the quartet of younger players in his squad, saying that while they have 'potential', they lack certain key attributes.
In an interview with Univision, Mourinho said "They are lacking maturity. And let me be clear when I say maturity, I mean maturity on a personal level. We had more men, we were more mature, we were more prepared for life, we were less protected. They are spoilt kids now, the kids of today have a different life, an easier environment and I'm talking about the people around the players."
Mourinho added: "We're talking about Luke Shaw, Martial, Lingard, Rashford – young, big potential, but at the end of the day it results in the word I cannot say, but you use it a lot here… character, personality, they lack a little."
United have made their worst start to a Premier League season since 1989-90, and currently sit 8th, 12 points off league leaders and defending champions Manchester City.
