Roma want to improve their attack. And not just any striker will do. The coach, José Mourinho, wants a player of top quality, and in that profile fits perfectly Mauro Icardi, of PSG.
According to 'La Repubblica', Mou is pushing for Icardi to join his team. But, in order for him to arrive, Roma must first make space in the squad. In particular, there is an urgent need for Dzeko to go, who is not very keen on leaving the Italian club.
In case of getting the money needed to get Icardi, the striker would be happy to go to Roma. According to the same source, he would even be willing to reduce his salary. He would settle for around 8 million a year and another two million extra in bonuses.
PSG, meanwhile, have Icardi on the exit ramp. They need to sell to balance the economics. According to 'La Repubblica', they would be willing to accept a loan with an option to buy for 40 million euros or a loan for a couple of seasons with the obligation for Roma to buy him after that time.
