"Mourinho has brainwashed his players into winning trophies"
In a statement to 'Monday's talkSPORT Breakfast', Tim Sherwood, former player and former coach of Tottenham, wanted to talk about the current situation of the English team.
Sherwood analysed the change undergone by Spurs with the arrival of Jose Mourinho: "He has found a way with the group of players he has. He has bought very well, Reguilón has been a good signing, but Hojbjerg for me has been the best signing, fits in the style and protects the two centre-halves".
He added: "When we have players like Son and Kane, who are world-class and could probably play for any team in the world, you always have a chance. They haven't played particularly well this season, but who cares?
"Jose has brainwashed his players into believing that they have to work for something, that they need to win trophies, and why shouldn't you believe in him? He's won 20 major trophies in his career and you're winning football games, so you start believing that this guy is the real deal, he knows what he's talking about and why can't we win the league," said the former player.
