Mou's list of possible replacements for Kane

Harry Kane's injury has affected Jose Mourinho's plans a lot, as he is now left forced to play without a pure number '9'. Due to this situation, as 'The Independent' states, the Portuguese coach has a long list of players who could fill in for the English midfielder. Piatek, Benteke, Llorente or Cavani are the main favourites to arrive in January.

Tottenham Hotspur and Jose Mourinho have been faced with an injury that they did not expect, that of Harry Kane. The English midfielder will be out for some time and the board are already working to find a replacement for him in the winter market.

According to 'The Independent', the Portuguese coach has a long list of strikers that could fill in for one of the most in-form players in the Premier League. Piatek, Benteke, Llorente and Cavani are the main candidates to occupy the number '9' position at Spurs.

The main option that the board are studying is to incorporate the Polish striker from Milan. The former Genoa player has been losing protagonism at San Siro since Zlatan Ibrahimovic's arrival and would not turn down a move to London.

Even so, the possibility of re-signing Fernando Llorente, who currently plays for Napoli, would not be a bad option either. The Spaniard knows both the Premier League and Tottenham and would be the second choice along with Christian Benteke, although the latter could come more as a loan.

The last on the list would be Edinson Cavani, due to his firm position at PSG. The Parisian team do not want to let him leave Parc des Princes and they seem to prefer that he goes for free in the summer, because the board don't think that they are going to find a suitable replacement for a good price.
