So, Morocco are through to the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations! They were the better team throughout the match, and really could have added to their one goal lead on several occasions. Ivory Coast were disappointing, and will now need to beat Namibia in their final group game to keep their hopes of qualifying alive.
  • 90'
    FT: MOROCCO 1-0 IVORY COAST!
  • 90'
Boussoufa now makes way for Manuel da Costa.
  • 90'
Big chance for Morocco to kill the game off! A flowing counter ends with Boussoufa chipping a ball to the back stick, where Mazraoui somehow blazes against the crossbar with goal gaping - bad, bad miss that.
  • 90'
Four minutes of added time here, and Ivory Coast have adopted a very direct approach now.
  • 88'
The ball flicks up to Traore from a Pepe free-kick, and he tries an acrobatic overhead kick attempt that is easy enough for Bono to save and hold on to.
  • 83'
Bony gets an eye of goal after a cross from Cornet on the right, but it's a tough chance that he heads well wide.
  • 82'
Belhanda breaks into the box from the left and tries a curling effort with his right foot, but it's straight at Gbohouo who punches it over - more unorthodox keeping from the Ivory Coast man,
  • 81'
Amrabat has been in the wars, and he now trots off to be replaced by Noussair Mazraoui.
  • 80'
Nearly a chance for Pepe at the back post after a cross from the right, but he can't quite reach Bony's flick-on and the ball goes behind for a goal kick.
  • 79'
Amrabat goes down clutching his head, and seems rather angry as he gets back up. He's claiming an elbow, and is not at all happy with the referee.
  • 77'
Bony gives a free-kick away after controlling the ball with his arm, and Ivory Coast in truth look clueless going forward here. An equaliser just doesn't seem likely right now...
  • 74'
Substitution for Morocco as Sofiane Boufal replaces Ziyech - not the Ajax playmaker's finest performance.

  • 69'
Meanwhile, El Ahmadi gets a yellow for protesting the non-award of the penalty (looked to be the right decision on further viewing), and Amrabat tries an ambitious effort to chip Gbohouo from their own half. It's all going on here!
  • 68'
Aurier can't shake off his injury and makes way for Mamadou Bagayoko.
  • 67'
Big appeals for a penalty as Hakimi bursts into the box and goes down under a challenge from Traore, but the referee waves play on.
  • 66'
Chance for Morocco! Dirar is slid in down the right and he squares to En-Nesyri, but the striker tries to finish with a backheel and Gbohouo saves. He was trying to be a bit too clever there, the Moroccan forward.
  • 64'
Aurier down injured clutching his leg, with the medical team on speaking to him. Looks like he may have to come off.
  • 62'
Seri makes way for Wilfriend...Bony. Let's see what the former Swansea man can do here.
  • 61'
Half chance for Kodjia as he rises to meet Cornet's cross at the back post, but under pressure from Saiss he heads over.
  • 59'
Ziyech tries a long shot with his left-foot from 25 yards, but it sails over the crossbar. He doesn't seem to have his shooting boots on today.
  • 58'
One petty foul too many as Coulibaly lunges in on Ziyech, and the referee reaches for his pocket for the first time this game.
  • 54'
Ivory Coast do make a change on the wing...but still no Wilf. Gradel makes way for Maxime Cornet.
  • 53'
Ivory Coast struggling to assert themselves so far in this half. Surely it must be time for Wilfried Zaha soon...
  • 51'
After receiving medical treatment and rubbing his eye for a while, Ziyech should be ok to carry on.
  • 50'
Ziyech down clutching his face after Kessie seemed to throw an arm (or two) out whilst the two battled for the ball down the right.
  • 48'
Once again, Hakimi chases a ball down the left and keeps it in. He breezes past Aurier and looks to shoot as he cuts inside, but the Spurs full-back recovers well and concedes a corner.
  • 46'
Hakimi beats Aurier to a ball down the left and slides a dangerous cutback into the area, but Traore is on hand to clear.
  • 45'
Ivory Coast get us underway in the second-half. Can they fight back here in Egypt's capital?
  • 45'
HT: MOROCCO 1-0 IVORY COAST! An exhilarating first-half comes to an end in Cairo! It was a fast paced 45 minutes full of attacking intent, but Morocco lead through En-Nesyri's goal in the 23rd minute. See you in 15 for more of the same!
  • 45'
Some handbags as Serey Die shoves Amrabat over after the winger stopped him from taking a free-kick quickly, but it doesn't escalate further.
  • 44'
Kodjia rolls Saiss and seems to be dragged down by the Moroccan defender. The linesman flags for a free-kick...to Morocco. Very strange decision, that one.
  • 40'
Straight up the other end, Serey Die fires a powerful effort from outside the box that looks destined for the top corner but Bono does well to tip it over the bar. Breathtaking stuff here in Cairo!
  • 39'
Almost a second for Morocco! A flowing counter-attack sees Amrabat dummy Zieych's pass, but En-Nesyri can only fire his effort straight at Gbohou, who does well to collect at the second time of asking.
  • 37'
Aurier wraps his left foot around a cross from the right, and it curls just over the crossbar at the far post. Just for a second, it looked as if it could dip into the far corner, there.
  • 34'
Amrabat tries to slide a clever, eye of the needle ball to a lurking En-Nesyri, but Traore just about gets there in time to poke it behind for a corner. This is much more like the Morocco side we all expected to see under Herve Renard.
  • 32'
Morocco looking dangerous down the wings, with both full-backs putting in teasing crosses within the same phase of play. Ivory Coast need to deal with this threat before something real comes of it.
  • 28'
Very fast pace to this game so far, although you do wonder if both teams will be able to keep it up in this heat. It's been thoroughly entertaining up to now, so let's hope so!!
  • 25'
Big chance for Ivory Coast to level straight away! Bono comes out quickly to deny Gradel as he burst onto a through ball down the left, but the ball falls to Pepe on the edge of the box. The Ivorian winger curls his effort wide with the goal gaping, however, and Morocco breathe a huge sigh of relief.

  • 23'
GOAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!! Morocco take the lead! A flowing attack ends with with Amrabat cutting in front the left, beating three men and sliding a lovely reverse ball into the path of En-Nesyri, who finishes first time with his left-foot into the bottom left corner to put his side in front!
  • 18'
Big chance for Morocco! Dirar gets in down the right and find En-Nesyri at the front post, but his first-time half-volley flies into the side netting.
  • 15'
Strong running from Kodjia down the right as Morocco just can't wrestle him off the ball, but they eventually manage to shepherd the ball behind for a corner.
  • 13'
Ziyech steps up to take the free-kick, but his left-footed effort flies harmlessly over the bar.
  • 12'
Aurier brings down Amrabat on the left edge of the penalty area, just as the winger looked isolated and as if he was going nowhere. Poor defending from the Spurs man, and not a bad place for a free-kick for The Atlas Lions.
  • 9'
Clumsy stuff from Gbohouo again, this time with the ball at his feet. He takes a poor touch and then clears straight against En-Nesyri after taking too long on the ball. He redeems himself moments later, however, sprinting off his line to beat the striker to the ball with a timely slide tackle.
  • 7'
Hakimi tries to take on Aurier in the box, but the Spurs defender does well and wins a goal kick. Hakimi already showing his intentions to bomb forward down the left, whilst Aurier will do the same down that flank for Ivory Coast. Could be an interesting full-back battle, tonight.
  • 5'
Ziyech is so close to sliding through En-Nesyri, but Kanon just about cuts out his pass. This game has started at a furious pace...
  • 3'
Unconvincing work in the Ivory Coast goal from Gbohouo as he tips a Ziyech corner back over his own bar...
  • 1'
So close for Ivory Coast already! Aurier gets in down the right and whips in a dangerous cross to the back post. Kodjia rises highest to head it down and across goal, but Saiss is on the line to flick it over the bar and avoid a nightmare start for Morocco!
  • 1'
We're off! Morocco get us underway, kicking from right to left.

The teams are out on the pitch and the national anthems are playing...nearly time for kick-off here!

In Mbark Boussoufa and Ajax's Hakim Ziyech, The Atlas Lions have two creative enigmas who can carve any defence open on their day. Sunday wasn't their day, however, and they had to rely on a late own goal to squeeze past Namibia. They'll be hoping for a better showing tonight.
  • PRVW
Morocco, on the other hand, make two changes from their equally unconvincing 1-0 win against Namibia in their first game. Both come in midfield, as Mehdi Bourabia and Youssef Aït Bennasser drop out for Karim El Ahmadi and Younes Belhanda.
  • PRVW
Ivory Coast unchanged from their unconvincing 1-0 opening win against South Africa. Match-winner Jonathan Kodjia once again gets the nod up front, and will be hoping to add to his AFCON tally with a goal against an ageing Morocco defence tonight.
  • PRVW
So, the big news from Ivory Coast's starting XI is once again the absence of Wilfried Zaha. The Crystal Palace winger was one of the Premier League's better players at times last season, and has been linked with a summer move to Arsenal.
  • PRVW
Ivory Coast: Gbohouo; Aurier, Traoré, Kanon, Wonlo; Serey Die, Kessie; Pépé, Seri, Gradel; Kodjia
