In some declarations to 'Record', ex-Real Madrid player, Fernando Morientes, wanted to assess the possibility of leading the Mexican national team in the future.
"How can I say no, we are talking about one of the greatest national teams and obviously that would be a goal, although first I would like to manager a league side to know Mexican football in depth and then, if everything goes well, to manage the National Team, which would be a pride", the Spaniard explained by video call.
And he added: "Those of us outside of Mexican football think that they should have at least reached a World Cup semi-final by now, which is important for the number of good players they have, but it's a question of continuing to try. I'm sure that Mexico will have their World Cup in the future, because they deserve it".
