On a social media post, Alvaro Morata revealed that partner Alice Campello went through health complications after becoming a mother for the fourth time and had to be looked after in intensive care (ICU).
However, the nightmare for the family is now in the past. The Atletico Madrid player said that his wife "is much better", despite also admitting that they were "the worst days" of his life.
"After the labour went well, the mother unfortunately started to have complications which scared us a lot. She had to stay in ICU in Navarra University and was looked after by the best doctors", the striker said.
Days later, he said that his wife is now much better: "Alice has already left ICU and is in the ward getting better with Bella".
"I'm still trying to trying to get over everything that's happened. Thank you Alice for teaching me another lesson. You are without a doubt a fighter and an example for me. These have been the worst days of my life, but I'm lucky to have you. You're the best thing that's happened to me, and my life without you wouldn't make any sense", the striker said.
