The 'Blues' are looking to strengthen before the loan deal deadline on August 31st, though Garry Monk admits the restrictions in the market are making it a tough ask.
Birmingham have already brought in Connor Mahoney, Gary Gardner and Omar Bogle on loan deals but Monk could still add one more.
Monk said: "It's about looking, we've got a few areas that we'd like to strengthen, but it's not easy. There's got to be someone who can better the group and can contribute.
"The market we're looking at and the restrictions we have, that's not easy. If something jumps off the page then great but it's not the market that we're currently looking in."
Birmingham fell to a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday, despite being two goals ahead with 18 minutes left to play.
