The left back position at Sevilla looks set to see the most changes for next season. Sergio Reguilon returns to Real Madrid after being on loan at Sevilla and everything seems to indicate that Escudero will leave when he starts the final of his contract. Monchi is therefore thinking about reinforcements for that area of the pitch.
After qualifying for the Champions League, Sevilla's sporting director could go for Marcos Alonso. That is what 'Estadio Deportivo' and the English press say. They also say that Chelsea are open to selling the Spanish full back.
Marcos Alonso's inner circle thinks Sevilla is an ideal destination for the Chelsea man. You have to remeber that his father was the Sevilla coach in the 1999-00 season when Sevilla were promoted back to La Liga. His dad would like to see Marcos playing at the Sanchez-Pizjuan.
Frank Lampard has opted for Emerson at the back end of this season and he will not count on Alonso for next season. Hpwever. selling Alonso will not be easy. In fact, 'Estadio Deportivo' reports that Monchi will not pay any price for Alonso.
The La Liga side's preferred option is a loan deal with a purchase option, but it does not look likely Chelsea will agree to this. Furthermore, there was talk weeks ago of Juventus signing Alonso, who has already had a taste of Serie A at Fiorentina.
